The Righteous and the Wicked Contrasted

Psalm 1

1 How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers! 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. 3 He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers. 4 The wicked are not so, But they are like chaff which the wind drives away. 5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. 6 For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the wicked will perish.

What things do you do daily? Taking daily medication, daily baths, or daily eating are all things that we do. Although these things are necessary, they all pale in comparison to the need to have daily study of the Word of God. So many people want to be blessed by God, yet spend no time meditating on the Word of God. Before reading the Bible to see what God says about our situation, we call a friend or family member. Help US LORD.

Here is a plan that you can follow if you want to be blessed.

1)Have a set time each day to read the Bible.
2)Have a set place.
3)Have a set plan-if you say that you will read for 5,10, or 30 minutes stick to the plan.
4)Pray to God- thank Him for His Word, ask Him to speak to you through His Word.
5)Read, Read, Read
6)Reflect on what you read.
7)Write down what you learned
8)Pray to God - thank Him again and again.

Be Blessed.

Chocolate Chip Recipe

Chocolate Chip Cookies –Actually this is Neiman Marcus Cookie recipe!!!!!

The story goes that a woman visited Neiman Marcus and tasted their cookies. She asked the clerk if the recipe was for sale and she said yes for 250. She asked her to add it to her bill. When she received her credit card statement there was a charge for $250.00. After contacting Neiman Marcus and hearing their refusal to refund the charge she decided to get even by sharing it with everyone that she knew, after all SHE DID PAY FOR IT. So here it is.

Makes 12-15 large Cookies

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 egg
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 3/4 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoons instant espresso powder, slightly crushed
8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips

Cream the butter with the sugars until fluffy. 2. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract. 3. Combine the dry ingredients and beat into the butter mixture. Stir in the chocolate chips. 4. Drop by large spoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375F for eight to 10 minutes or 10-12 minutes for a crispier cookie. (I only use 4 ozs. of chocolate chips and add ¼ cup of nuts)

ENJOY AND GOD BLESS YOU.

In the beginning

God Bless You if you are reading this today.

It is always important to lay the foundation on which everything is to be built. A few months ago when the former President of the United States was leaving office, he was interviewed and asked what did he think of the Bible. He stated that it was a good book. The interviewer then asked, do you really believe the stories in the Bible? He responded that no one can really take it literally and believe that everything in it really happended. He then restated that it is a good book to read.

Mr. President, the Bible is more than a a good book, it is the BOOK. Either you believe all of it or none of it. It is by faith that we accept and believe the entire book. The Bible begins by decribing to us the beginning of the world. As incredible as the entire book is, if you can believe the beginning, that God spoke the Word and it all came into existence, (except for man---we were made from the earth) then the rest is not impossible to believe. I by faith believe all of it. To God Be the Glory and thank you for Your Word--THE BIBLE.

GENESIS
CHAPTER 1
The Creation
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters. 3 Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light day, and the darkness He called night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day. 6 Then God said, "Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters." 7 God made the expanse , and separated the waters which were below the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse ; and it was so. 8 God called the expanse heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, a second day. 9 Then God said, "Let the waters below the heavens be gathered into one place, and let the dry land appear"; and it was so. 10 God called the dry land earth, and the gathering of the waters He called seas; and God saw that it was good. 11 Then God said, "Let the earth sprout vegetation , plants yielding seed, and fruit trees on the earth bearing fruit after their kind with seed in them"; and it was so. 12 The earth brought forth vegetation , plants yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit with seed in them, after their kind; and God saw that it was good. 13 There was evening and there was morning, a third day. 14 Then God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years; 15 and let them be for lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth"; and it was so. 16 God made the two great lights, the greater light to govern the day, and the lesser light to govern the night; He made the stars also. 17 God placed them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth, 18 and to govern the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness; and God saw that it was good. 19 There was evening and there was morning, a fourth day. 20 Then God said, "Let the waters teem with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth in the open expanse of the heavens." 21 God created the great sea monsters and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarmed after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind; and God saw that it was good. 22 God blessed them, saying, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth." 23 There was evening and there was morning, a fifth day. 24 Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind: cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth after their kind"; and it was so. 25 God made the beasts of the earth after their kind, and the cattle after their kind, and everything that creeps on the ground after its kind; and God saw that it was good. 26 Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." 27 God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 God blessed them; and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth." 29 Then God said, "Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you; 30 and to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the sky and to every thing that moves on the earth which has life, I have given every green plant for food"; and it was so. 31 God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day. (NASB)

Welcome

Many of us put off doing what we know God has told us to do for far to long. Today this ends for me. I will no longer wait for the right moment or as we say the opportune time. I also encourage you to do the same.

Pray each day with expectation. Then get up off your knees (hopefully you do this) and get busy. Keep in mind however, it is only what we do for Christ will last. This includes witnessing to others about Christ, giving to those less fortunate than yourself, and committing yourself to studying Gods' special revelation to humanity--The Holy Bible (be careful with which translation you use - recommended: New American Standard). If you have not yet trusted Christ as Savoir, call on Him today so that you may be empowered by the Holy Spirit. It is only through the Holy Spirit that you can know what you need to do and be empowered to get it done.

Each day, you may visit this blog to read or post. I intend to offer Scripture, encouragement, prayer, advice, and humor each day.

May God continue to bless you.

"In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams." Acts 2:17
